There's a lot of reason to love Michigan

We have great water resources, obviously. Some beautiful wilderness and lots of ethnic restaurants, all in all a pretty vibrant place.

Then the other night I was able to watch Ice Dancing on NBC and CBC - out of Windsor, Ontario, simultaneously. One pair dressed in yellow, the other in Pink. Back and forth, back and forth.

When does football start again? Even golf would be better.

I know these folks work for years at their craft, ok artistry, but the regular figure skaters just barely make it into the realm of sport. Ice dancing and curling are things people do, and should do, but they are squarely not sport, not higher, faster, stronger. Ok, I'll shut up now. Overall I love the Olympics but somebody has to make some decisions over there.

By the way, thank God the Canadian Men's Hockey team won today. We love our Canadian neighbors, but they can be a bit churlish when victory evades their national team.
